ZmajSnoshaj replaces all the electrolytics in his Hammond L-103 organ's AO-43 tube-powered amplifier. All 50uF filter capacitors were replaced with 47uF polarized radials using the original metal cans. All of the original electrolytic material was removed and the new capacitors positioned into place with the leads carefully bent and soldered to the correct terminals. Finally the new caps were glued into place using epoxy putty instant-mix 1-minute epoxy.
Musical credits follow in the order they are played. Crna Udovica (with ZmajSnoshaj), Sha-Ila, Graveyard, and Fabio Frizzi.
I would personally like to thank everyone who helped me to make this video including my girlfriend Lorelle who suffered many lonely nights while I worked on this project as well as all the artists/musicians previously mentioned and finally but forefost, God and my Dad.

  • Hey, I like your video a lot. I am planning to do the same thing very soon to the amplifier in my L-111.

Can you explain why you are epoxying the can bottoms to the amplifier? Are the original mounting points no longer strong enough?

For the capacitors with only metal housings, were you able to get the housings to stay on the tops? If so, how?

  • Our shit

  • That's brilliant... I don't think I've ever seen a more dramatic electronics project :p I'm working on an AO-43 chassis myself, and kind of wish I'd done all the work in a mask chain smoking cigars. Nice one :)

  • Wow, this is awesome

  • What a amazing job ! Fantastic !

  • Dude you will get an electric shock playing with those big capacitors, I got a shock from a flyback current running through my arms before, it was horrible.

  • Damn I think this dude could build a time machine! Excellent production and editing. This is some artistic talent straight from God ;)

  • Ha, good clip! And you had 3 hands at one point :D

  • Yeah good work !!! Greeting to USA and SERBIA from Macedonia !

  • Fucked up shit for real!!
