it's obvious it was a botched joke, I'm a conservative and I never took the bait because I'm smarter than that.
Yeah I lose a chance to rib a democrat...but at least I can have civilized political discussion without sounding like some uneducated idiot that believes any mud the republicans throw his way.

There is a higher chance in 2007 and beyond with going into dangerous combat duty in Iraq & being killed and or maimed. Amputated and badly burned all over. calling your opponents idiots is great politics, I prefer to let kerry demonstrate it on his own. As a US Marine, Republican or Democrat has nothing to do with it, I wasnt a republican marine, I was a US Marine. The causes we take on for the greater good benefit all of us, if it is only fights you seek to benefit the few then we have failed

As a US Marine I understand that I may give my life to save a missionary school in Granada. It is not my life that I de-value, it is the fact that giving my life by defending this country enriches all of us

Kerry didn't say "troops" or "soldiers." Republicans said it, they're the ones insulting everybody. Kerry said "you." You, as in our whole nation is stuck in Iraq. Democrats should make an ad featuring Bush saying "our toops are uneducated." Who cares if it's only a part of the whole sentence, if Republicans have no shame ripping phrases out of context and it goes unanswered that's an unfair advantage.

The comment was to students, about students and about Iraq. You have to take him at his words that he was talking about bush. I guess Harold Ford, Hillary Clinton have joined the right wing conspiracy?
