Saginaw once thrived on heavy industry and logging. Demand faltered, and this happened.

  • But Thanks. Thanks for choosing to show the absolute worst of Saginaw. The parts we wish we had the resources to change. Thanks for making that representative of our city, township, and county. That's just what we needed. We had no idea that was going on. Thanks for rubbing our noses in it again. It really helps.

  • @jmxphoto Hey, don't shoot the messenger. All of those features sound very nice, and I'm somewhat surprised some of that is there, but you have to agree that the city has a LONG way to go before the East Side is a viable community.

  • Um, yeah. I grew up in Saginaw. It tanked in the 90's. Take your rap crap self off. YOU ARE AN IDIIOT. Geography and History were CLEARLY not your strong suits, MORON.

  • @Daghain66 Saginaw tanked in the 60's, the same time as Detroit and the rest of Eastern Michigan. By the 90's, Saginaw had already lost over 28,000 from its peak population, indicating that it had been tanking for quite some time before then. And how is geography not a strong suit? gtfo.

  • How Saginaw was formed:

    1. A chunk of Detroit, say maybe 50 sq mi, somehow became detached and floated north about 60 miles and was named Flint.

    2. Then another chunk broke off from Flint, say maybe 17 sq mi worth, floated further north and was named Saginaw. lol. XD.

  • I'm from St. Charles, a town within Saginaw County. I always dreaded going through the city of Saginaw lol

  • @ShinjoNeo Not a segregation line any more. The west side is fast becoming like the East side was in the 1980s.

Its over folks. Hopefully by March I will be completely removed from this place and living in the Royal Oak area. Bye bye.

  • @lofisound I never did say Kotchville or Saginaw Township were cities.

Please get your facts right. The western city limit of the City of Saginaw is Weiss Street. Kotchville and Saginaw Township are NOT in the City. They are in the COUNTY.

    Look at a map, please.

  • @DarrenNemeth Yeah. That river is a HUGE segregation line. Maybe a mile or two west of the river onto the sunnyside, but over to the east of the nasty is big time F'D up. I got the hell outta there in 01. Miss the old days, but damn... Aint a pretty place thats for sure.

  • @ilyDAISEYily If you live in the nice neighborhoods of Saginaw, then sure, it's a nice place to live. I grew up in a bad part of Saginaw, and my mom moved our family out of there after our windows were shot out and my cat was set on fire, and her kittens were bathed in a bucket of bleach by thugs who we didn't even know. That in it's self makes it ~SAGINAWFUL~ Not all of Saginaw is bad, sure, but the "ghettos" are growing.

  • I bet u guys is real bad.

  • DAM!!! Saginaw is fuck up ! i wouldnt live back there again for nothing in the world. For those who dont know i was burn an raise out that mf for real.Again for those dont know this BIG GUS aka BIG $ag!

  • @DarrenNemeth Kochville and Saginaw Township are not cities. They are townships in the city of Saginaw. The city of Saginaw is made up of townships. I hope this clears things up for you.

  • @jmxphoto And nearly of the outdoor events are heavily policed. It is not unusual to see someone getting beaten down or tazered.

  • @ThePirateMD The areas where Target and Best Buy are at are Kotchville and Saginaw Township. Not Saginaw. The City of Saginaw is a good 8 minutes down I-75 from there.
