  • your pronunciation is incorrect. you make it sound like it should be pronounced nuh-muh-stay, but the consonants should be more dental and the vowels more pure. it should actually be pronounced nah-mah-stheh. the emphasis should be on the "nah" and you should make a "th" sound (like in think), not a "t" sound in the last syllable.

  • Bugger messed it up. Completely WRONG.

  • it doesnt matter how its said, its the meaning, and sincerity in which it as said that matters. But I heard him say Nah-mah-stay. Sunsuvvi, you are saying its pronounced Nah-mahs-thay?

  • what a fucking fail, you totally mispronounced it

  • "Mamaste", pero con el video cabròn..!

  • and good luck

  • @justeroniehh Dude I am American... and I'm giving you the heads up there is no American way of saying Namaste... its the right way... and the wrong way... 90% of the white world, when they try and get their yoga on.... when they say namaste its wrong... and the fact that you think you are saying it the American way is exactly the same as saying ven is the same as saying when, since hindi has no W... god you're stupid

  • @behzadbayati that's what they said when everyone stopped saying nay and hither

maybe you need to get with the times nerd

  • @justeroniehh Well yeah I get that, correct just seems too relative to me, but never mind. Namaste in Hindi and Nepali is pronounced with the A's as in "about" and the E as in "stay". With the stress on the last syllable.

  • @jesseguaire correct is a relevant quality, meaning based on what "we" (Americans) see as politically correct.

I wonder how Namaste is pronounced in it's native vernacular.

  • How can there be a 'correct' American English pronounciation, when it's not even an American English word?
