Well dude, it IS supposed to be for kids. And although most people believe this has to do with Marvel being bought out by Disney, this show was greenlit months before Disney announced its acquisition of Marvel. I even remember reading about it being created in, like, May or so.

Can everyone just calm down about there childhood being messed up!
1. It's for a younger audience, so maybe they do look and sound weird.
2. They may not look the same as they did but it's like transformers. It's altered to better fit the current generation.
