21 Second Elite Big Daddy Kill on Hard - Wrench & Elec. Bolt

This is an updated method close to the one I put on YouTube about 5 days ago. It is a 21 second kill from the time I first hit him in the video, to when he is dead. This has to be the best way to kill an Elite Big Daddy on Hard. It uses NO RESOURCES whatsoever. No ammo, no Health Kits, no Eve Hypos. Plus, it's fast.

There are plenty of ways to kill Big Daddies, but almost all of them require you to expend ammunition (often times Inventable ammo, which is more rare, or just expensive ammo) or use Health Kits or Eve Hypos. This method is 100% tried and true, and requires nothing.

Here are the instructions:

Ok, the first order of business will be to max out your research of both types of Big Daddy: the Elite Bouncers and the Elite Rosies (these are the two that appear later in the game and are much stronger than the ones you meet earlier). The good news is that even photos of the regular Bouncers and Rosies count toward your research level. To get to LVL 5 Research quickly, equip the Photographer's Eye and Photographer's Eye 2 combat tonics. Used together they give you a 25% boost in research points. You can max the research in no time, just exit an area and come back in and photograph any Big Daddies you see for maximum points. Photograph each one until you stop getting points for it.

Now, the reason you are doing this is simple... At LVL 1, LVL3, and LVL 5 you get permanent damage boosts against the Big Daddies. Plus, at LVL 2 Research on the Bouncer you get the Wrench Jockey 2 tonic (permanent 550% increase in wrench damage), and at LVL 4 Research, you get another permanent 50% boost to wrench damage. So, just from that research alone, your wrench became a bit more fearsome to those incredible hulks of Rapture (not enough though, not by a long shot...there's more work to be done!).

Here are the tonics you will now want to equip:

PHYSICAL TONICS

1) SportBoost - Increases your movement speed by 10%. It has other benefits as well, but none that are of much help in the Big Daddy fights.

2) SportBoost 2 - Increases your movement speed 20%. Together, these two tonics make you 30% faster which will help you to evade the Big Daddies counter attacks after you whack them.

3) BloodLust - This tonic gives you a small amount of Health and Eve when you do damage with the wrench. It will always give you enough Eve after each wrench hit so that you can use Electro Bolt again. That's why you won't have to spend any Eve Hypos in this battle!

COMBAT TONICS

1) Damage Research -- Remember all that research you did on the Big Daddies that increased your damage against them three times? Well, increase all that damage now by another 30% with this tonic.

2) Damage Research 2 - Just like the above, but increase the damage by 60%. They stack, so that's 90% more damage you get for your Big Daddy research.

3) Wrench Jockey -- Wrench damage goes up by 350%.

4) Wrench Jockey 2 -- Wrench Damage goes up by 550%. Again, both Wrench Jockey's STACK, so these two tonics alone make your Wrench 900% stronger!

5) Wrench Lurker -- Wrench damage goes up 150% against enemies who are unaware of your presence or shocked.

6) Wrench Lurker 2 -- Wrench damage goes up 200% against enemies who are unaware of your presence or shocked. Together that's 350% more Wrench damage when you strike a shocked enemy (hence, the use of Electro-Bolt).


The rest is easy. Just use Electro-Bolt 3 on the Big Daddy, hit him once and back away while shocking him again, then strike him again once, and repeat the process. It shouldn't take long before he's a heap of rubble at your feet.

I wrote it for a reason, and that's why YouTube has them in the first place.

The video can not explain everything I have equipped, such as Bloodlust, a tonic that gives you back a tiny sliver of Eve and Health with every wrench hit.

Get it? If you would READ instead of being lazy, you wouldn't need to accuse me of something that isn't true.

Or you can just use alot of trap bolts. you fail.

Perhaps I think you "fail" for using trap bolts...

#1: This method requires no resources (no Health Kits, no Eve Hypos, no Ammunition).

#2: On top of all that, this method is likely FASTER than the Trap Bolt method. Even if the Trap Bolts kill the Big Daddy almost instantly, you have to add set up time into the equation. You aren't you blowing the Big Daddy up instantly, you have to set those traps.
