@TehMrMatt okay, i combined the polygons and can append both of the eyes, but cant get the eyes to append to the mouth... :(
the mouth has normals on both sides.. is this what is wrong?

how do you reflect a polygon? i got up to where you transformed the mouth and eyes over...then got lost
