saalams this is one thing i have always thought about... if Qadr is true and we have been predestined, then is our free will restricted? It seems like a contradiction. But it's okay, I have faith that they are compatible. Hopefully these stupid filthy kaffir academics could just have faith once in a while instead of bickering their whole lives about this subject. He just described the illusion of free will, not free will itself. When Muslims say the deen doesn't contradict itself they are either misinformed or lying to you/themselves. This is one of the many crucial incongruities within Al Qur'an & Hadith, & here this Shaikh is trying to pacify, not answer, you.
This isn't an anti-Muslim comment, in fact I was a practicing Muslim for a year but I couldn't overlook these reoccurring problems that are in ALL Abrahamic faiths & maybe you shouldn't either.
