I've always loved the drum beat of this song. After hearing this live version, I think it sounds better here by far. I wish they recorded it this way.

It just sounds so menacing, oppressive, and structured in it's unending repetition...

i was looking through my joy div stuff and pulled out love will tear 12inch and inside theres still the smash hits song lyrics that i cut out all them years ago..going to see hooky do unknown pleasures in may.. looks like he does it justice...and before anybody says owt....just to hear the songs played live by anybody let alone a ex member...no body else can do em ...so after 31yrs turn the amp up to max ..can you imagine love will tear us ..being played on hookys base just like it was..come on.
