Thomascow`s version of "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights". It is a 1950`s song written by Wayne Duncan, Freddy Fender and Huey Meaux.
Freddy Fender released the song in 1959. The song became popular, but Freddy got on the wrong side of the law in May 1960 after he and a band member were arrested for possession of marijuana in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After three years in the Louisiana State Penitentiary Angola prison farm, he was released through the intervention of the Governor Jimmie Davis, also a songwriter and musician. Davis requested that Fender stay away from places that served alcohol, while on probation as a condition of his release. His big break came with the release of "Before the next teardrop falls" which was a smash hit in 1975,They decided to re-release "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" and it too was a big hit, since Freddy Fender (June 4, 1937 -- October 14, 2006) became a major player in world country music. I first heard him on a jukebox in Holland where he was top of the pops with the Dutch.Enjoy
David Lynch is a famous film director ("Twin Peaks," "Blue Velvet"), so it's a very much a compliment.
