  • @mindspring57 You know, there IS some truth to what you say.

  • @cwood4ever It is not so much what he did when he was President, but after. He handpicked Taft as his successor and expected Taft to be his puppet. When Taft decided to have a mind of his own, Roosevelt, spoiled rotten brat that he was, formed a third party, split the Republicans in two, and make it possible for Woodrow Wilson to win. There is no way that Wilson, a racist adulterer who led us into an unnecessary war, could have been President without Theodore Roosevelt's temper tantrum.

  • @mindspring57 He was one of the first presidents to create national parks. Ever go to Yellowstone? You can thank him for that. He also tried but failed to break up monopolies. If you don't know that that is google it. He was a good president.

  • @nos212100 Well, okay, he got the Panama Canal built, but other than that . . .

  • @mindspring57 only a stupid democrat would call TR overrated! he was true greatness, swagger, and one of the most popular presidents of all time. i love this man, i admire this man, and he is forever one of our best Americans

  • thank you for posting, sir or mam

  • TR is overrated. All he knew how to do is jump up and down and shout "bully, bully." He lacked character and abandoned his newborn daughter so he could "find himself." He goaded the U.S. into the Spanish-American War (the Maine sank because of coal dust, not Spanish treachery). He settled the Russo-Japanese War in a way that sowed the seeds for Pearl Harbor years later. When Taft refused to be his puppet, he wrecked the Republican Party and made it possible for Wilson to be elected.

  • MY HOME TOWN!!!!1!!!!!

  • For a new take on TR, read James Bradley's "The Imperial Cruise."
