  • Actually i would argue that 1PW is not the best because they relied on alot of international talent and actually used less UK based talent which in my view is not something that will positivly progress the UK wrestling scene

  • I disagree. Bringing established talent into a foreign country is one of the best ways to A: gain exposure for your promotion, and B: expose more young adults from the UK to wrestling as it should be, inspiring them to become wrestlers themselves.

  • but if you look at the 1PW roster at the time it was nearly half full of foreign talent and with the exception of say Jody, Jonny & Doug the top level was full of these guys who were costing them more to bring in than anything, if you use local talent that means less money spent on travel costs, look at FWA they brought in 1-3 guys for big shows not every show like 1PW but just often to make them look special

  • You have to find that perfect balance, I suppose. You can't have Dave Nobody vs. Mark Whothehellisthat as your main event and expect a big gate, but you can't have a British promotion comprised solely of Americans, either.

The problem with British wrestling though, in my opinion, and EUropean wrestling as a whole, is lack of exposure. As a Canadian, I can get a hold of anything from down south, or see live events myself, and I can order whatever I please from japan, but British wrestling? Nope.

  • we have the talent its just the general wrestling fans that only watch WWE dont give 2 shits about them, most people who know the UK scene know that we have guys who can main event not only here but the US and the problem is the US unlike us does not tend to import much talent where as we get anyone we can, it got to a point that AJ Styles & Abyss were on nearly every UK show over here thats like 2-3 a month each one headlined by US guys now tell me does that give us a chance to main event

  • WHERE IS BURCHILL-CITIZEN SMITH MONSTER SONG.

  • I'm sure you do have the talent. Unfortunately, wrestling in britain as far as I can tell is just not big enough at this point... all of your good workers leave the Isles for America/Japan. Regal, McGuinness, Williams, Taylor, etc... And how often do those sort of names come back?

PAC will probably be the next to leave the Euro wrestling scene...
