I guess he had nothing to lose and I had everything to lose! I was gutted as I knew I was quicker than him and the laptimes proved it. Even though he had an MSA licence which expired last year meant he was still allowed to enter, WTF!
Yes I agree he was'nt the most honest of drivers. I'd started 2nd in the PM finals, managed to pass him cleanly, I then led the race for most of the laps until the final lap he made delibrate contact on the inside of me into turn 1 using me as the brakes sending me flying into the grass and the he won it, there was no way in the world he could of gone passed me on that corner cleanly and fairly, to my surprise he was'nt blacked flagged
I was up against it a bit cos I was first out on a damp track with cold tyres and I only had 9 laps to set a blistering time ( which I didnt manage). 2 of the laps were screwed by accidents / yellow flags and the last 2 laps had oil on the track. Still it was a laugh /one hell of an experience and Thanks to Vxr for paying for a days karting!. The reporter girl who interviewed me was cute as well (which was a bonus).
dude.. i fell what ur saying, in the briefing they did say anyone with a racing licence put ur hand up cos they'll find out. lets hope he didnt go to barcelona, i was racing at 1700 btw. and hate to be contriversial but i recon kart 16 was setting the fastest times..
I was taking part in this competition. I was driver number 1 first out on the track. I posted a pretty lame time. The guy who won the PM grand prix round came third in the 2001 junior formula ford championship, which makes him a cheat in my book. cos it was supposed to be no racing drivers allowed
btw what time was this vid filmed, i was driver 199 racing at 1600.
