@Alpha7xxx Not sure why it was dropped, doesn't say. They played Flaming Youth for awhile too at the beginning of the Destroyer tour, even before they switched to the Destroyer stage outfits. It was dropped as well, sometime in July. Not sure why either. There is a book called Kiss Alive Forever that is a very detailed account of their touring history. It's a must have, I find myself referring to it all the time. You should be able to find it online somewhere, just google Kiss Alive Forever.
@ghostdancer2302 Do you know why it was dropped? I wish I knew their reasoning. Is their book or some resource that actally goes into depth about the actual songs? Rock Bottom and Sweet Pain should be played at every KISS show!
@Alpha7xxx Yes. They played Sweet Pain at the show in Norfolk, Virginia on July 3, 1976, which was the official concert debut of the Destroyer stage and Destroyer costumes. They quickly dropped it from the setlist and replaced it with Cold Gin.
@mdskewes I have the entire set soundboard recording on CD. I got it about fifteen years ago. It is incredible. Only glitch is Rock n Roll All Night blends right after Aces' smokin' solo into the second verse of Deuce. It's one of my bootleg jewels!! Ace calls someone an asshole right after the intro to Black Diamond, just before "Hit It!" Classic.
I was suppose to go to this show!!! My friend Tom got a pair of tickets for his birthday, then at the last minute took his friend Bill!!! I was PISSED!!!! So I THANK the person for putting what he could on HERE!!!!
MY FIRST ROCK CONCERT EVER !!!
September 6,1976, Varsity Stadium,TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA.
Whoever shot this footage was standing right near where I stood too!
Near the Front of the stage to the Left!
