Hey Gino,
Remember the '100' club on 3rd St NE Ft. Lauderdale Fl, it was there you told me about this record and I bought it at 'Peaches' on Sunrise.

@adobePC same here.

Great song and group, we played this song in our band back in the day. XM plays it on the 60's channel, thanks Cousin Brucie and Motormouth.
-
Cool song. I heard the Bangles version first.

Dang! We had F-U-N in those years! I would not trade this glorious music at all, thanks for posting!

@thebansheeman In the same year, in the just constructed football stadium opening at Birmingham High School (Van Nuys CA) I saw a similar show there: The Doors; The Merry Go Round; & Love, (and possibly another band, who I can't recall, may have been the J.A.)! Weren't those the days!

I quite agree!

Great Sixties sound!

This is the first band I ever saw. It was at the Teen Fair at the Hollywood Palladium. They were with some other band called Yellow Balloon. They were pretty good, but the best band of the day was some group called Boston Tea Party. I thought they were going to be big, but I never heard of them again.

This was a damn good record. I used to play Gazzari's and lots of the strip places in the late 60s with Mike Chain and this was one of the better songs and recordings for my money. I do not know Emmit personally but we have friends in common

To Laurie Emery...I'm sorry I broke your copy of this record in 1967, and even sorrier that I had to give you my copy.
I always think of you whenever I hear this song.....Kathy

I saw the Merry Go round open for the Jefferson Airplane in 1967 at a daytime outdoor concert in L.A. what a trip!
