She (made love) to the butler because of three things:

    1. He proved himself loyal, reliable, and true to her.

    2. He never gave himself to minor issues like the two gentlemen dueling for her cash, uh I mean love.

    3. He may have a bigger !@#$ and out-performed then the gentlemen.

No. What I'm saying is that's what happened. The US didn't take a break, they just decided to Not restart the war for no reason after the armistice was brokered. An armistice is the closest thing to peace without being at peace, it's just what happened. Anyway brokering an armistice instead of engaging in a long bloody war against the combined Chinese and N. Korean armies was a good idea at the time, neither side was going to win easily so cooler heads prevailed. That's not quitting.

So you're saying American might needs a 60-year long break to catch it's breath so's it can continue? At least if they quit they'd be admitting defeat, instead of going along with the delusion they're in charge.

Even if it is 'quitting' which I will object to that being the characterization as a matter of course; Korea and Vietnam were not 'quit' in the same sense. Vietnam the US went and GTFO. Korea, we haven't left, there was an armistice and we stuck around to keep it in force. Also the thing about an Armistice is that it doesn't end the declaration of war, it's as close as you can get to being at peace with another country without technically being at peace with them.

armistice: noun truce, peace, ceasefire, suspension of hostilities "Finally, they signed an armistice with their longstanding enemy."

    Sounds like quitting to me.

Only Vietnam, not Korea. The US did not quit Korea, there was an armistice, get it right. :P
