  • oh so you think you can "play it back at an equivalent of 1200 fps"?

how the hell is that suppose to work?

  • @kakisback It's normally shot at 240 fps and played back at 60. I played it back at 12, BUT in between those 12 frames I interpolated simulated virtual frames using sony vegas to bump up the video's fps to 24. Which is equivalent to shooting something at 1200 fps and playing it back at 60. Do the math.

  • @kakisback Hers simple math for you:

1200 (fps) / 60 (fps) = 20 times slower than reality aka 1 sec In real time = 20 sec video.

240 (fps) / 12 (fps) = ditto, 3 sec real time is 60 seconds video time

    --------------------

Check out the watch in the video, 3 seconds go by but instead of 60 seconds of video its 50 which ends up being slightly less than 1200. I didn't want too much frame stutter so I sped it up a bit.

  • can you change the frame rate manually when recording with this camera?

  • @tomsinclair1234 Nope, its either 24, 30 or 240. (30 for the American version).

  • how long can you record at 240fps?

  • @SemiLOOSE 3 seconds

yeah so you could do the same calculation and have a super slowmo camcorder in my cellphone!

take 30 fps video, play back at 1/2 fps: you get a video thats 60 times slower!!!

comon man its a video when its 23+fps in playback, otherwise they call it a slideshow. but hey, if vegas can interpolate as good as creating a 3rd immaginary image between 2 real ones, than you can change the title to "480 fps".

    cheers!

  • how do u change the frame rate?
