Both in war-torn and civil societies, countless women around the world are hostages to violence and terror. Why is it that women are particularly vulnerable to human rights abuses? What are the factors, both cultural and systemic, that limit their freedom of expression or social choices? How have women resisted oppression and struggled to assert their rights in difficult situations?

The internationally renowned broadcast journalist and news anchor, Céline Galipeau, will offer her own perspective on these questions based on her years of reporting from some of the world's most volatile areas.
