  • how do you get the colors to change?

  • @JEluvs2laugh The long color repeats are in the yarn itself and that make the colors in the pattern. You just have to knit the pattern! The pattern is from Ruth Sorensen and can be found free at ruths(dot)dk The yarn is called Kauni and can be got at Webs Yarn, yarn(dot)com The color I am using is EQ (Rainbow) I didn't buy from them, I got mine from Denmark.

  • is there a pattern for this?

  • @RandomShowTv The pattern is from Ruth Sorensen and can be found free at ruths(dot)dk The yarn is called Kauni and can be got at Webs Yarn, yarn(dot)com The color I am using is EQ (Rainbow) I didn't buy from them, I got mine from Denmark. Sorry it took so long to respond. Sue is right, I'm not on as much. I hop elife slows down a bit soon!!

  • That is simply gorgeous! Can you tell me which multi colored yarn that is? And I also want so much to buy the Knit Picks circ needles, I just have to wait a while, as my funds are low :( ~ thanks so much, you have a great voice! LOL! :)

  • Sorry I missed this comment before! The yarn is called Kauni and is from Denmark. You can now buy this special yarn from Webs in Northampton, MA. They can be found online at yarn(dot)com

I love the KnitPicks Harmony needles and use them all the time!

  • beautiful.... I use the same needles as well.... I taught myself how to knit but holding my yarn in the right hand.... I am trying to learn how to knit this way .... seems more sensible

  • everything makes soo much more sense now! yrs ago when someone taught me to knit i learned and paid attention, but ended up doing it how i thought was easier. Now i have a name for how i knit Continental! Now when people laugh at how i do it i can defend myself. It's soo much faster & easier for me. thanks for the video!

  • Hi there Ravensky, I really like the smooth way you knit. I am trying to teach myself continental, as it seems so much easier on the wrists and faster. I wish you would do more tutorials, and include knit, purl, knit. and ssk and other combos. I just made my grandson a hat like that using the EXACT same colors..love them.

Thank you so much for taking the time to show us you techniques. Blessings, Deb

  • I wear a 4X in mens and I dont think I can make that sweater :( the pattern only goes up to 1X

  • @RandomShowTv I think she got that pattern from a knit along on a yahoo group but I could be wrong. Maybe try PM'ing her. I don't think she's on YT much these days.

  • Beautiful! This is the way I learned to knit from a Hungarian woman about 45 years ago! Didn't even know what "throwing" was until recently. Just took up knitting again a few years ago, and am now concentrating on one-color socks, toe up, magic loop, two at a time.. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Knitpicks needles -- The cables are so much more flexible-- in my humble opinion -- than Addi-Turbo's and so much more affordable. I use the nickle plated circulars. Thanks for demo!
