Bellamy Bridge - Marianna, Florida

Bellamy Bridge is located on private land just outside of Marianna Florida. This iron framed piece of history holds more than rods and bolts...it holds a legend that the locals love to tell.

Some say she flees down the red clay road to the old iron bridge; others claim her flaming figure flashes through the mist-shrouded swamps; and still others say she descends from the dark night like a fireball to plunge into the slow-moving Chipola River.

But all agree that what they are seeing are apparitions of a Elizabeth Bellamy who burned to death on her wedding night.

So is the story true? Is the bridge even haunted? If so, is it Elizabeth or her husband Samuel who just couldn't live without her? Forgotten Coast Paranormal Investigators are determined to find out!

While I do believe that the bridge is haunted by Elizabeth, It's a proven fact that she did not die on her wedding night.

She actually died sometime after she was married to Samuel from fever. Unless I'm mistaken, she also had children that died just short time before her.

The bridge probably is haunted, but the legend of how it became haunted isn't true.

We did some research a while back and found that she actually died from yellow fever or something of the sort...is that what you've found also? Do you happen to know where her grave is located? We've tried several times to locate it but have been told it's in the woods somewhere down Bellamy Bridge Road.

At 2:13 slightly below and to the left of the orb I see a face in the tree.

The 'E' kind of looked like an F. Sometimes I wasn't sure if the orbs were orbs or the moon. Otherwise it was a really cool video. I'm hoping I get to see Bellamy Bridge this summer.

I live here in Marianna. I've been to see it for myself a few times. Yes, Elizabeth Bellamy's ghost does exist. She is a troubled soul whom I feel is still in pain.
