"Side by Side" 4.19.08 dress rehearsal at the Plaza Theater. Dvorak Slavonic Dance No. 8 in G minor, Op. 46, No. 8.

Guillermo Quezada conducts the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestras' Youth Ensemble and Youth Symphony in the annual "Side By Side" concert, where each group plays one piece on stage with the next higher group, and the top group (the Youth Orchestra) plays with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra.

    Excellent! Guillermo is the best. We miss him - he had to leave the EPSYOs, but I'm hoping he and his lovely, talented daughters will be back someday.

  • @perla7812: Hmmm. So, assuming you are in the "other" youth orchestra, please consider joining the EPSYOs. You might make it into the top group - would get to play beside the professional EPSO every year. Come on, audition! Show your stuff.

    BTW, you can be critical without booing - or, are you used to the boos when the EPYSO performs? '-)

  • Well this is the middle two groups of the EPSYOs combined. They sound great, but they aren't the very best of EPSYOs. And I'm sure EPYSO sounds great as well.
