I want to put open header on my 79 ranger...what are the advantages of them? Do they jus sound sweeter?

ya they sound pretty sweet if youve got the muscle to back them up. theyre more blatty at idle than a full exhaust, and theyre extremely loud. theyre not street legal. if you run them for very long, it can be really bad for your valves though. mostly just uncork em to race. it reduces backpressure.

oh no. duals are great. they wont do any damage. most street performance applications run duals.
