Everyone likes a nice homage to a beloved record... but ripping off ELO is both morally wrong and musically naive... ban the Hoosiers and boycott RCA records!

  • both epic songs

  • Definitely sounds like the Hoosiers guy is trying to sound like Jeff Lynne. And yeah, the beat is the same.

  • people do this all the time, just look at satriani and coldplay or paul wellers changingman and elo's 10538 overture? there isnt much similar in these songs so why give a fuck? its just a cheap attack.

  • i agree!

    i love both songs.

    tbh.

most of all the indie bands now have the exact same sounds. no-one is complaining about that are they?!

  • hoosiers suck ass

  • I think personally that this is a great song, although the very first time i heard it i must admit i was astounded by the distinct similarity between it and Mr Blue Sky which is also an incredible song. I think although it's very similar, it has to be said it is still a good song irrespective of it's similarities to Mr Blue Sky.

  • I still love them!!

  • yeah that would be fair enough.. lots of bands have the odd song that sounds similar to others..

THING IS---- ALL THREE of the Hoosiers singles have noticeably been created from existing songs!!

Goodbye Mr A & Mr Blue Sky

Cops and Robbers & Lovecats -the cure are amazing btway-

Worried About Ray & Happy Together

not that i hate the hoosiers' versions but they could at least acknowledge where they were influenced from !! !!

  • leave them alone! The hoosiers are an amazing band and these are two totally different songs!

    fail.

  • big deal if it sounds a bit similar. all bands have songs that sound similar to other ones, that doesn't meant that they are plagiarising anyone
