The one thing that always stands out about the Buchla synths is the filtering. Much different approach than the subtractive method everyone is used to hearing with the Moog inspired designed. I prefer it, but can't afford it unfortunately.

like i don't know much about these thing but is it possible to pinpoint just one sound that you like and keep it?

@MrMagichuman The sound is determined by the cable routing and the knob settings. The knob settings can be saved (30 sets can be saved and transferred to a card). So you would need to write down the cable routing. Probably the best way is to just record the sound.

Very cool. I really like these sounds! Good work!
Is the echo or reverb on the sounds from the Buchla synthesizer modules or an external unit?
Oh, and another stupid question: how many hardware voices does a buchla system like yours have?
dslsynth 1 year ago
@dslsynth Hi thanks. It's all 200e except for an Eventide Timefactor. Regarding voices, depends on how you define them. Each oscillator has a pair of VCO's, each VCO can be a separate sound source. Most systems this size have 3 or 4 oscillator modules.
