Album Review:
Ex-KC drummer Ian Wallace US-based jazz-trio plays greatest King Crimson compositions. Don't worry, it's not a Tribute album, and not just a covers. It's real competent jazz trio, emotionally connected with early KC music, plays jazz versions of what you perfectly know as heavy progressive classics.

May be it's hardly to believe, but the result is excellent! Possibly, Ian Wallace's participation saves material from irresponsible transformation, but all composition sound very tasteful, with big love to initial material.

Even if the music on this album is hardly fusion, but just more contemporary jazz, played by classic jazz trio, I believe this music can attract very wide listener (and really not only jazz lovers for sure). I think this album is the best release of KC material, played by non-original KC team.

  • awesome. you're also welcome in Buenos Aires :)

  • Very nice and if I hadn't heard the original I'd love it. But sorry after the first four gorgeous minutes it doesn't really come close to the original. The song ends in cliched doodling where the original goes where no band had gone before or after.

  • I wish I had the gift of interpretation your group has. To have that kind of harmonic intuitiveness must be a fascinating way of experiencing thought

  • oh my god, that is crazy !

  • AWESOME

  • Great!!!This is eargasmic, putting togheter my favourite things : jazz & progressive (king crimson)

  • Ian Wallace Excelent drummer

  • @louisfrtn that's because their music is hugely based on a jazz structure, and they mixed it with rock elements.

It's not even Jazz Fusion, nor it is Jazz Rock, Crimson is unique!!

  • @evaltgerard PLEASE! DO COME TO MEXICO
