Looking Glass games were brilliant. Even today, space games show doors opening in space ships, ships gliding in and the doors closing before atmosphere is pumped in. This game shows the true future, forcefields you fly though to land with the field surrounding you so atmosphere is there all the time!

You can do one of two things,
A - Get DOSBox and run it with that or
B - If you run WinXP, search for the System Shock Win XP pack.
