I don't understand this. I know the whole story of Shaitan, hes is the enemy and all that. Allah told his angels to bow down to Adam? I thought we only bow to Allah. Maybe Iblis was trying to say that I only bow to Allah not Adam? idk somebody help me lol? (:

Allah commands as He wills. He commanded them to bow to Adam but not in terms of worship. They still only worshiped Allah. It is very clear that shaitans reason for not bowing down was sinful. He said "I am better than him (Adam). You created me out of fire and you created him out of clay."

I like the verse 49, but has anyone noticed that God and the devil are already talking about the resurrection of mankind although Adam has still to eat from the tree of knowledge and be cast from heaven. So God knew that the devil will fuck up(Lord, because U mislead me) and they both knew that the human will fuck up! I find this very interesting.

With all do respect brother, please keep the language clean as the topic is clean. This conversation between Allah and Satan took place because Satan refused to bow to Adam as was ordered by Allah. When Satan said "You mislead me" its because of this: Allah had elevated his status and put him amongst the angles yet he was a jinn. Satan used to be a very pious creation of Allah but went astray. Even though he saw Allah and had proof of everything, he still disbelieved.

@yousufj56 Satan never saw Allah and he never disbelieved in Allah. Satan disobeyed Allah's command to honor the creation of Adam (pbuh) due to the sin of Arrogance. Hence, he was cursed. Satan can still repent to Allah and obey Allah. Satan knows where Adam's (pbuh) grave is and can go anytime before Judgement Day to prostrate to Adam (pbuh) and obey Allah. But satan will never repent and will never prostrate to Adam (pbuh) due to his Arrogance.
