In June of 1972 (just months after his wife left him) Elvis Presley performed a 3-day run at Madison Square Garden New York These shows were the first full concerts he put on in NYC, and the first since he appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1956. Excitement was in the air George Harrison, John Lennon(some report), Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Art Garfunkel,all of Led Zepplin were in the audiance in that legendary Elvis Concerts.

  • the recording was speeded up by Col. Parker so he could fit extra songs on the album.

    Orginal LP could may speeded up to squeeze all concert in LP

  • @irishbollix Yes I Was There; Friday Night Performance. I remember taking the #2 Train to by the Ticket. I t Was 10$. I Still Have the TShirt. And the original Tour Book.Wish I Kept the original Ticket. He did 3 Shows; Friday Night. Saturday Night, which the album was recorded. And Sunday Matinee.
