Another clip from the 1950s television series "You Asked for It", featuring a very condensed version of the guided tours often taken in the area. Some of Hollywood landmarks are shown, as well as some famous star's houses. What is interesting, is which stars mentioned are still well-known, and which are forgotten. Probably aired on ABC-TV during the early-to-mid 1950s. I do wonder why the bus seems to be going backwards throughout the "tour"...LOL

  • Two streetcars are seen running down Hollywood Boulevard toward the end of the clip, meaning this was filmed prior to February 1954.

  • Almost all the buildings show still exist, except they are something else now. Except for the Hollywood Brown Derby, which was damaged heavily in the 1994 Northridge earthquake, and was torn down a few years later.
