@SwordsmanMercenary Yeah Dreadnaughts like those are really vunerable against air craft, thier one achiles heel

Isn't it funny how history shows that bigger isn't always better?
Bismark, Yamato and Tirpitz were destroyed by tiny airplanes
-
The men of the U.S.S Johnston had some of the biggest balls ever.
-
@alneal100 And that's why most of them have a very short life.

@010bobby USS Ranger, while not the size of the Enterprise or any of the Essex class, spent almost her entire service life in the Atlantic.
-
@panzerrat There were no US aircraft carriers in the Atlantic..only the later part of the war that the US sent "baby" escort carriers for US patrol craft to land on for chasing after German U Boats!!! one example, an escort carrier help in the capture of U 505....I am talking of little baby escort carrier..NOT the likes of USS Enterprise or USS YORKTOWN or USS HORNET...understand?
-
@010bobby Review the histories of the Battle of the Atlantic, review the usefulness of Escort Carriers, and rethink your stance of Aircraft Carriers being useless against U-Boats.

@kdrapertrucker Wow. That seems like a serious mistake to make for something that took up so much resources and production time. They might as well have put it into making more aircraft carriers or something.
@Tabby266 We need to declare 5 more new wars for more episodes!

Big, dangerous ships like the Yamato, Bismarck, or Tirpitz are high priority targets. By virtue of their threat value, they become something of a liability because they will be challenged relentlessly until they're destroyed. For every Goliath, there will be many Davids!
