Live Performance of Big Time

Karmyn Tyler's beautiful and powerful voice showcased her newly released CD entitled "Karmyn Tyler" at the Perot Theatre in Texarkana, Texas on November 20 before an audience of over 1200.

The show was more than a concert, it was a Broadway road show! The crowd was wowed by her as she took off her trench coat during the dance number "Big Time" written by Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy, to reveal a 20's black velvet dress with lace from a slanted hemline and diamonds around her neck. As she said the words, "my name in lights above the tile", a big 11 1/2 foot by 4 foot marquee sign dropped flashing with her name spelled out in the middle of the sign. It was absolutely breath taking.....

Karmyn's smooth velvet voice can be traced from her Opera training to her belting voice that would rival Linda Eder and reveals an extraordinary talent as a singer-personality.

Let me start by saying, she does have some talent. Having said that, performance was a wee bit over the top. Too much concentration on choreography, not enough on the vocals! Also, where was the whole raunchy side of this song?! The lines "plus augmentation, Voila, a brand new me" or "a late night 'yes sir', leads to good press, sir. And takes a girl pretty far". It's a song meant to be sung with attitude, which was COMPLETLEY missing in this perfomance. But I do wish you the best.

what a dead performance.. she has no charisma. where is the dynamite the emocion etc. thought it was dull dull dull. and the choreographer should have been shot

Yes, Linda is really great! Karmyn was not trying to "out-do" her...please! Karmyn highly respects her and really liked the song that her former husband wrote! Karmyn has a style all her own! And I'm very proud of her!
