8x10 Acrylic time lapse painting demo - Gary garrett

Hi again... this one was painted July 14, 2007 and shot without time lapse. Recently I learned how to speed up the video in post production, the speed was increased 10 times fo fit into the alotted 10 minutes/100 meg limits of Youtube. It is a view of South Jacksonville in the late afternoon close to sunset. The actual painting time was 54 minutes. The music may be a bit too much with this form of hi-speed time lapse video, if it's too much for you, please lower the volume.

Another great painting - done in less than an hour??? I like the development of the clouds. Reminds me of that bit in that film about Vermeer where he gets the maid to look at the clouds and say what colour are they - first she says white, but then sees more and more colours...

Amazing how those colors come together. I though it would be a 'tad' more outlandish when you started with that pink and yellow.

Thanks! I had trouble on this one as it was a windy day and the clouds kept changing, so I spent far longer on the clouds than usual. Once the wind settled a bit, it went pretty fast. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!

Thank you. I have sold some on ebay, but to sell art on ebay, you really MUST do the "Featured Plus", and found i was just painting for ebay, so i am working on a web gallery of my work... it's not up yet but will be soon (I hope). THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
