  • really sorry to everyone for the male slant - what happened is that at the last minute a technical problem corrupted 3 really good female contributions, i was really annoyed and i'd had enough of the whole project and just wanted to get it out there, maybe i should have re shot or re edited, but i just couldn't find the time or the energy. I hope people understand and don't think its a serious problem?

  • There weren't many non-whites in this piece of film. Ostensibly this love-in is about the environment, but one can't help thinking that the feelings of commonality that are on display are as much to do with shared ethnicity as with shared interests. White people celebrating and enjoying stuff that White people care about. When whites become a minority in the UK and other Western countries "White" issues (environment, animals, human and women's rights, child labour, whales) will be trashed

  • The comments post here illustrate the problem. A segment of society clinging to business as usual. Clinging as it becomes increasingly clear business as usual is what's unsustainable. IMO while capitalism does kill it doesn't have to. Also will be using energy from fossil fuels, as we use energy from renewable sources. No 1 has shown me how we can avoid that yet.

  • These people want to bring down the very fabric of our society.

The reality is that they are attacking all the freedoms that they hold so dear. Woulld they be able to enjoy their current freedoms in North Korea or Burmah? I think not. That is the real issue.

  • I gather you have to be a bit of an unstable disturbed airhead or someone with drug issues to find the time to go to this camp? Or is that just the people that were interviewed?

  • bunch of lazy wankers!

  • Stupid Posh Cunts

  • Hadn't noticed... male or female... people are people... whatzit matter?

  • Unless technology can be used to make lots of money for a large corporation, they get ignored... and large corporations aren't known for their care about climate.

If you want to save the world as a one man science degree.... look around. How many science and engineering degrees are walking around?

And how many of them end up working for the Man?

You'll get no-where without people waking up to the probs first & putting pressure on the government. The people have to demand for change first.

  • I think you have missed the point. They aren't ranting about sustainability, they are Learning about Sustainability, teaching each other. They are taking an active role and taking steps in being responsible in their own actions.

If you think that you aren't going to be ANOTHER scientist/engineer who's ideas are ignored - think again. You'll be one of many. Your 'amazing' ideas; however climate saving or altruistic, will only get implemented if you have the PEOPLE demanding they get implemented.
