  • ...and if you really, really want to, you could add a fifth coat...ad infinitum.

  • Forget polyurethane, I bought a HVLP spray gun and use Magnalac pre-catalyzed lacquer, dry to the touch in 15 minutes. Gives pro quality results, scratch and mar resistant. It's so hard when dry it can be burnished. Google it and learn what great coatings they have. This is ok for Joe Smuckatelly, but for me I spare no expense in coatings.

  • never apply chemicals from the petro industry on your wood. 

  • How much you can charge for a bookshelf like that if you use hard wood not pine???
