now i get it!!!! thanks

It's funny no one ever says what happens AFTER you push the handlebars. Do you you keep them that way until it's time to roll on the throttle and stand the bike back upright? Or do you turn the bars in the direction of the turn after you initiate the lean?

@CaptSaveAHo3 The episode was called "How Motorcycles Work".
-
@MotoGQ Do you know what the episode was called?
-
@CaptSaveAHo3 It was from an episode about sportbikes on The Science Channel.

omg i think i got it now!!

the problem with the video animation (which is supposed to clearly illustrate what happens when you "push right to go right", or "push left to go left") is that it greatly exaggerates how much the wheel turns in the "wrong" direction before your bike leans into the turn. In our rider training class the video they showed was of a real rider (not animated), and you could clearly see how the concept works. And, btw, there are plenty of bikers who haven't ever heard of this.

MotoGQ - do you know the name of this episode? Want to find the whole episode on the science channel...

Short, sweet and informative. The idiots from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation who "taught" my Beginner Rider Course could seriously benefit from watching this video and/or showing it in class!
The 3D Graphics animation really helps...maybe it's a bit exagerated but it works.
