@Faddnn Not really, there are certain ramdisk programs that saves the ramdisks content before shutdown and restores it when you boot up.

Wish you would of mentioned it was on a Virtual PC, here me thinking you installed it from scratch onto the ram.
More of my time wasted by you tube video's of something a 8 year old could of done lmfao

@TheSnk1001 Win FLP = Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs .. ie: a "stripped down" version of XP for low end PCs. microXP is a standard Windows XP Pro SP3 which has been stripped down to the bare bones (CD size is 99MB, complete installed microXP is 200MB, RAM usage is less than 40MB). it's not "legal", as it's basically a pirated and modified copy of XP, but hey.. ;)
it's great for low end (old) PCs and netbooks. if you wanna try microXP shoot me a PM for a link *cough*

@TheSnk1001 They are lighter weight versions of XP for older systems or netbooks. Win FLP (Legacy) is a stripped down version of XP that requires almost half of the original system requirements, I saw a pentium 1 load XP with 128 Megs of RAM, seriously awesome. Tiny XP is another stripped version of XP but more extreme than FLP, requires a little more advanced user to install though. Neither OS is for sale to general public, but not too hard to find if you look in the right places. :)

@TheSnk1001 Hey thats right on! 512 MB is a bit low. I would say 2 GB of ram is best on 32 bit XP. Before all the service packs and updates and programs MS added 512 was fine. If RAM is too expensive for you try looking up Tiny Xp or Windows FLP.

@TheSnk1001 hey TheSnk1001, Its simply showing how fast windows xp is if you could install windows entirely to ram, ram is much faster than traditional hard disk drives. This is kind of like a solid state drive, but faster I believe. Youtube audience correct me if I am wrong but isnt the ram drive volitile, meaning after reboot it would be gone. So in theory and testing its awesome, but in the real world it may not be so awesome.
can i install and linux os on ramdisk and after that, booting form it?
