  • yea i Thought about that fact but. if you placed some sort of alternator on the wheels. like small hub motors, as the car runs it can be used to place the power back in the aux batteries when the car is in motion like a alternator would do but when the car is sitting it can just use the original way of charging. this concept can also be applied to the batteries also when gliding or just cruising.

  • @MrBry329 Conservation of energy. An electric air conditioning would be less efficient because the engine would have to convert it mechanical energy into electrical energy which would take the same amount of energy plus a 15-20% ineffeciency. You wouldn't save any gas, only burn more.

  • why havient they figured out to put electric a/c not one which runs or the motor..

  • Those are extremely rare today...

  • Now be green on the freeway and see if you still get that fascinating amount of efficiency in a realistic way, I promise you even still bringing out the off AC, windows up and driving 55 mph in the far right lane you probably wont get that high with that car.

  • @RichardTaitor Sounds like my GF. I can get 28mpg in her car but she gets 20mpg, haha

  • its so cute how the car rewards leaves and flowers when you drive green haha.

  • Why the hell can't he turn the vent ON with the A/C off and windows closed and still be just as green?

  • the 2010-present Honda Insight is assembled in

    Suzuka, Mie, Japan

  • To: Senior Editor Edward Loh, If you want a bigger audience, step aside and let someone like Jesse Lange do the reviews, you could learn a lot from her. She has good stage presence, knows how to work the camera, talks about the car like she has a passion for it and is motivational. She dresses very appealing and appropriate. I think it would be best that you allow someone else to take the driver seat. Especially if you want better ratings and feedback. It's all about selling things.
