i was there 4 2 weeks with the georgia forestry commission on the knee knocker fire in nahunta and the locals were great god bless all the people that had a hand in beating the monster.

I spent two days there with Lowndes County Fire Rescue. I'll tell you this, we couldn't have done what we did without the support of the residents of Waycross and Ware County. Ya'll kept us fed and watered so we could do what we do. Thank You.

Ohh My Gosh That Was The Worst Like Month Of My Life Man. Thnx To ALL Firefighters Yall Saved My House From Burning Down...The Fire Started At My Friends Papa's House Me And Her Always Joke About Be Where The Biggest Fire In GA Was!!!!!

I was there when/where it all started. I live on the other side of the highway. The monster jumped over and we all panicked. We packed up a few belongings and our pets and I called my Dr. to postpone my hysterectomy. Thank God for the BRAVE fire fighters, we didn't have to leave. A good friend from high school lived in the middle of it. She was lucky...Her mother, Grandmother, and aunt, on the other hand.... If it hadn't been for God..., I don't even like thinking about what could've been.

This is a very touching tribute to the ones who fought so hard to save our homes...i could see most of these views from my back door...It just came too close to home!! Words cannot express my appreciation...Thanks so much!!
