And I wish George and Patti would've stayed together.

@crapple009 I did hear the Yoko/Paul thing. The other is Maureen had her eye on both Paul and Ringo. She planned to kiss both and decide which to pursue. Note: Ringo a better kisser than Paul. Ironic twist,she had an affair with George. So, not sure what to make of that ; ). The Beatles were a 4 man female wrecking crew, John's provacative nature, Paul's charm, Ringo's flirtatiousness and humor and George just had to look at you. Womankind never had a chance.

@otterj6 Didn't know about that info concerning Jane/George, either. The only thing I knew about Jane's first meeting th Beatles is that John actually frightened her, asking her about her virginity-status or something of a sexual-nature (that Lennon!). I always assumed she was Paul-struck from the beginning. Interesting though- Yoko went straight for Paul before he turned her in John's direction. Can you imagine that?!

@crapple009 I'm not sure of when it happened...I beleive after India. It's interesting looking at Beatle pictures in India...George spent a lot of time with Jane Asher. I read when the Beatles met Jane, both Paul and George were interested in her. Jane admitted later she actually like George's looks better, but Paul really liked her and George stepped aside. Interesting to think it could have been George&Jane.

@otterj6 Wow- did not know that! That info definitely confirms that Something was indeed not written for Patti, as most fans/people think it was.

Btw, when in '68 did this happen- after India?

@crapple009 According to legend ; ), Charlotte Martin was Eric Clapton's ex who Pattie befriended and invited her stay in their house after she broke up with Eric. Soon Pattie began to take notice something between Charlotte and George....And no doubt, things got stormy in the Harrison household. George wanted a divorce, Pattie refused and Charlotte went back to France. This all occurred 1968-1969

@otterj6 Thanks- had never heard about Charlotte Martin- who was she? Another surprising (for me, anyway) fact was that George was apparently using cocaine during this time , though to what degree I cannot say.

@crapple009 You are so correct about George's "other side." I'd say even before 1969. 1968 he was supposedly hooking up with Charlotte Martin who was living in their house. People assume he was crazy about Pattie because she was beautiful...well George reportedly had the hots for everyone. Hard being married to a man who's attention is diverted by the slightest provacation. Pattie started flirting with Clapton to get George jealous. It backfired. He didn't care.
