It depends on whether you're doing traditional Gospel or what we do with the RYG Gospel Band. While most of the changes are relatively the same, it has everything to do with the arrangement. For example: Can't Nobody Do Me Like Jesus was written by Andre Crouch some years back yet we do it as an R&B/Funk arrangement. Straight tuning. I use both a Fender Precision and Marcus Miller Jazz with an Acoustic setup. I've come across many who do tune down, though.

@Iliketacos091 LOL!

@Bass5or6 Don't worry a whole lot about it. The guy was trolling, and I've found answering trolls with long paragraphs usually makes them back off :P

@TheZombieXecutioner2 Fret buzz isn't hard to fix. Just make sure the intonation and truss rod are set correctly, and then adjust the action as needed. Also, if there's still fret buzz after you raise the action a ton, maybe the strings just need to get broken in, or maybe it's time for a new bass. I didn't notice a lot of fret buzz in this vid, and considering it's a Peavey Cirrus, then it's not gonna be hard to fix

Because 95 % of gospel songs are in flats or sharps.....its just easier
Bass5or6, first off, nice playing. Secondly, when you said you had your bass tuned "flat". Did you mean that you tuned every thing down one note., for example "Bb" instead of "B" natural.
