2006 Tuba Karademir OLYMPIC SP Turkey

An attractive young girl from Turkey, takes some advanced instruction in Canada and manages a spot of her countrys' Olympic team. Skating is growing in Turkey, but a new large surface arena that was supposed to open recently, did not. Tuba continues to skate for Turkey, and I believe will be in Vancouver for the 2010 games. Let's hope some financing lets loose and new rinks can continue to be built all over the world.

That's not entireley true. She represented Turkey twice. Once at the Torino 2006 Olympics and Once at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics!
