"I'm Broken" from Pantera's Live: 101 Proof cd. I guess the strings had had enough at the point of the solo. The playing on this video is mediocre, as it had been a LONG time since I'd played this song, but it had to be done before the hair was chopped! Guitar is a Washburn D3/DS (Dimeslime) played through a Randall RH-200 and a Furman PQ-3 parametric EQ.

  • love the sound! have the dean from but i can't get the right sound...

i doesn't have a randall or krank but im trying anyway

  • @jelledaman

Amps by themselves will seldom give you the sound you want without the intervention of some kind of EQ or effects pedal. I lucked out and found a Furman PQ-3 parametric EQ - the EXACT model Dime used for several albums he recorded. Although his stuff is unique and forever secret, that EQ played a big part in how his sound was cranked out.

  • Every thing was cool...BUT the robin egg baby blue shirt.........is lame.....

  • lol, I'll wear a ripped up wifebeater next time.

  • @esp1825 lol wife beater hell yeah I like your amp is that an rg100es. your guitar almost gave me a woody too

what settings would you recomend for a peavey supreme 160 to sound like dimebag I dont care what shirt you wear either hell you can be shirtless for all i care with that long hair i bet you get alot of pussy. you should do a cemetary gates cover or floods also are u tuned half a step below eflat. or are u tuned to dflat is what ive heard dimebag tuned to .

  • @thrashfan4ever I'd like to cover both of those songs whenever I can get a chance - they're so much fun to play, and no one can duplicate his solo style the way he did it, so respect to that! However, with regard to making your amp sound the way you want it to, I'd just suggest finding some EQs or effect pedals to hone in on some more gain/tweaking the EQ range. I'm no expert; in fact the sound mine makes is not what I'd like to hear, but it's not too bad either.
