Defeating gravity is not anti-gravity.

OMG WANT SO MUCH! But so... the latest ones needs the magnet platform hovering? I guess when I read about it seemed to good to be true that it only needed the lower platform. Still awesome, a bit pricey though. But one day.

Some additional stats from my own measurements: my globe levitates 10mm above the surface and the unloaded puck 17mm. Running the unit 24/7 will cost £2 per year with the lights on and £1.30 with the lights off (assuming £0.10 per KWh - currency GBP).

I would suggest placing some card or a soft cloth on top of the mirrored platform while mounting or dismounting objects simply to protect the surface. Otherwise you will permanently mark the surface every time the puck or globe crashes down due to inaccurate placement (which will happen a lot!). Once stability has been achieved the cloth can be removed. This will also prevent the mirrored surface accumulating sticky finger marks.

I'll stick with my globe. Levitating taxidermied cat just doesn't seem as cool.

@me2me23 Wow, calm down sonny. You are obviously a bit special. I'll slow it down for you: anyone with an IQ in double digits knows that like magnetic poles repel. The accomplishment of this gadget lies in controlling and balancing the repulsion vectors without the need for high speed revolution or a physical barrier (which the top and pen use respectively).
And please stop patronising me with your perceived need for me to take remedial science, when you own observations are so low level.
