AVIANCA FOKKER 100 ABORTED LANDING IN BOGOTÁ COLOMBIA

March 27 / 2008. A Fokker 100 try to land in SKBO (Aeropuerto Internacional El Dorado) But just a few feet above ground level HAD TO TAKE OFF BECAUSE ANOTHER AIRPLANE WAS ON THE RUNWAY!!!

Another airplane on the runway? That's an absurd! What a big fail of the air traffic control!

It is not uncommon for an aircraft just landed not to clear the runway quickly enough. The following aircraft would not be cleared to land and would be told to go around. This looks very late into the final approach for such a scenario and it is more likely the pilot simply didnt like the look of his approach and decided to carry out a missed approach - possibly there was a gust or his speed was a bit fast - plenty of possibilities and safer to go around.

se supone q el atc debe decidir el goaround en el mapt. en bogota es como a 8800 pies ... no faltando 5 pies para tocar...!!!....

MIERDA! MOTOR Y AL AIRE A SOLO 50 PIES! EN TEORIA UN GO AROUND POR DEBAJO DE LOS MINIMOS (200FT) EN ESTE CASO ES UN TOUCH AND GO POR EL PELIGRO DE QUE ANTES QUE EL AVION SE ELEVE DE NUEVO ESTE ALCANCE A IMPACTAR EL SUELO!
