"Kimi Ga Iru Kara" from the Japanese version of FFXIII, english lyrics by ChipNoir and vocals by me. :)

Oh my gosh, this song. This song is wonderful. It's so sweet and it sums up the dynamic of the FFXIII group really well! Since this song was cut out of the english version of the game and they gave us Leona Lewis instead, this is dedicated to anyone who was disappointed by the fact that they didn't use it, haha. (Which isn't to say I don't like Leona Lewis -- I absolutely love her voice, but for some reason I didn't feel "My Hands" clicked for me with the game... But I digress!) Enjoy, guys!

And most importantly, I have to thank ChipNoir for approaching me about singing his lyrics for this, because he did an amazing job with them! Aside from a phrase here or there that I tweaked for fluidity's sake, this is all his genius. I don't think anyone else could have done a better job with translating this song... The meaning is completely intact, which is a feat considering how tricky the rhythm gets at times. This song made me start thinking. This time next year, I'll be preparing to leave high school, and go to college. I don't know when or if I'll see my high school friends again, and it makes me realise just how important they are to me. I've known them since first year, and they're what made high school fun.
