Having some fun with the new SR22. I meant to break down the gun, so I'll do that in the next video. It's pretty easy. It comes apart in a very similar manner to the Walther PPK. The barrel stays on the frame.

  • @ErnestMas, Sounds pretty "tactical"! I just use the "Figured it out on my own what works for me" system, I suppose. :-)

  • I have the SR22 and love it, the ammo I tried first was a box on 250 rounds made by Federal. The Federeal ammo I could tell had some weak rounds here and there but never experience a failure to pick up the next round. I bought a brick of 500 of the Blazer ammo I really was surprised how well the Blazer brand performed, I personally think the Blazer is excellent ammo especially when you buy a 500 round brick for 10 bucks. The entire family loves the Ruger SR22..tons o fun on the cheap Great video

  • Enjoyed the video.

  • @714JN, sorry, read comment below... :/

  • @714NJ, just know that going in this gun is more of a challenge to shoot than the mark III. Once you get the hang of it it becomes a real nail driver. Have fun, the pistol's a winner in my opinion.

  • I want to trade in my mark III for one of these because I hate breaking down the mark III's. Also, my Mark III has the bull barrel so it's heavier than my other pistols.

  • @Lookin4aDime I fully agree. It would be, dare I say it, educational if Hickok45 would do a principals of home defense night video... Maybe we'd finally see him with a Glock Toaster and espresso maker :)

  • where do you get your ammo, i always see large boxes in your videos.

  • Hickok, do a shooting video at night. It'd be cool to see you use lights on your guns or even one-handed shooting if you had to hold a flashlight.

  • Hickok, would you carry this over a Mark III? I'm thinking of trading for a new .22 pistol, and the Sr22 and mark III have caught my eye.

  • How would you compare to the Walther p22? This looks sweet!

  • Only problem I have with the gun is the "speed bump" in the frame and maybe a lighter struck than my 22 rifles. The speed bump though is what seems to cause the ftf more than the ammo in my experience. I've put well over 2,000 rounds of cci ar, stingers, standard, fed bulk 550 hp, Remington thunderbolt. And some others. The fed plated hp's are so far the most reliable w/ cci ar having the most powder puffs and rem tb's several strikes no bang. The bump, I wanna know what its perpose is.
