Thousands of years in the making... from the capital of the Hittites to the capital of the Zapotecs.

Hattusa, Anatolia
Ellora Caves, India
Hampi, India
Thuburbo Majus, Tunisia
Criel Mound, USA
Cholula, Mexico
Comalcalco, Mexico
Monte Alban, Mexico

I did consider uploading a 1GB version for full quality, but since comments started coming in before the big upload could complete (and since my connection can drop out) I decided to stick with this one even though the picture quality is not great. Concentrate on the commentary and you'll be fine.

TOP TIP: You can find coodinates for most of these sites on Wikipedia. Just copy and paste those into GE and use that to get the best view. The picture here is really just to illustrate the commentary. For best results use the new GE5 release.

Check out my magazine article, "The World's Top 50 Mysterious Places"... http://www.flickr.com/photos/jeremyglover/sets/72157603865167400/.

  • Nice video, I'm from Oaxaca, Mex. I been to Monte Alban, so many times, is beautiful, but you forgot alot more places from Oaxaca, like: Dainzú, Huijazoo, Mitla, Yagul, Lambityeco, Hierve el Agua, just to name a few.

I haven't watched all your videos, but I'll definitely take a look at them, they all look interesting...

  • Thanks for your comment. I will check out those other places you mention.

  • Another great vid Jeroid!

I agree with ItOnlyTakes4, they have that discovery channel feel to them. Especially your(?) voice!

Are you using the latest google earth?, apparently it's set up to record...

  • No, I'm still with the old GE, but I have just tried GE5 on another machine, and might give the record feature a go for the next part. It certainly feels like an improvement.

  • love your vids!
