  • I love all the people crying that their wrestler lost...............Get over it. It didn't go your way. That's life. Welcome.

  • @Greev84 I don't really give a a shit. All I know is on that day, Gardner was better. ON THAT DAY he was. Karelin was better at other times, but not on that day.

  • Karelin was a beast. People shouldn't be focusing on the face he lost this match but that the fact it took him THAT long to have a bad day. He didn't have a single match where he was sick, tired, unlucky, terrible referee or just plain unlucky. He hadn't lost a match in 13 years. He hadn't been scored upon in 6 years. 6 YEARS! That's unreal.

That being said Gardner beat him fair and square that day.

  • @LordAlucard454 I agree. Karelin is a legend ...but luck alone did not defeat him on this day.

  • @TheMightykaz Agreed, a win is a win, but it's like Dan Gable's loss in college, it happens, it sure as hell won't take away from Karelin's legacy, but yeah, give props to Rulon for getting it done, Karelin was just such a frightening individual. It was just a great olympic moment, it's what makes the games great.

  • The rules are the rules. It was pretty obvious that Karelin was the better wrestler, but he wasn't able to score. It may be a bit unfortunate, but it's a sport and you have to live with it. Just he way he did.

  • Complete BullShit Karelin Broke the Grip Should have been 1-0 Karenlin. Put him to what 3-0 against Garderner?

  • @LordAlucard454 He won dude! It's not luck he beat the best in the world and won the gold. Give him some respect. I am sure Karelin would.

  • Alexander Beat Rulon Gardner back in 1997, and this was the rematch.

  • @ibeasty760 That's right, no matter how you're a fan of Alexander, you still need to admit it.

  • That was probably the most boring thing I have ever seen in my life.

  • not a way to win but you have to give the man his props he did something no man did an maybe alexander would win the match if he was in this new era with the new rules but rulon won an thats it an no one can change that
