  • can you do bisk fires in that?

  • what cone is that? Looks like a great portable Raku kiln.

  • Looks like you had some raku family fun, thanks for sharing. I have an old cast iron wood stove I was thinking of making into a raku kiln. I just need to find a way to drill for the gas burner, it has a flew already and the door opens on the front. Do you think it will work? Hoping all is well with you and yours, specially Mum. Bet it will be good to get home. Many Blessing Karen CT

  • Thank you so much Simon, my best for all your family, specially to your mum. ;o)

  • Ahh! Thanks for the pics of John! Take good care, SImon, thanks for all you do. Owen

  • Thanks, Simon. What a pleasure to see a family so comfortable and purposeful in their work. The scenes of the pottery buildings were intriguing.

  • That bird came out nice!

  • Hi Simon.....i am making a Raku kiln similar to yours....have u any idea where i can purchase that ceramic fiber for lining he walls?

  • Thank you so much for another wonderful trip Simon.

Hope and pray your Mum is much better now. That last minute at Muchelney seemed bitter sweet.

Great to see John again, you know I told you one time how much he seems to look like my older brother! Well thats still pretty true, only Steve is allowed to grow his beard before Christmas for his Santa Claus stuff, then off it comes in Jan. When I see him the most he's sporting a beard, and looks an awlful lot like John.

    It's wierd! I'm wierd Ha
