I just took action to stop indefinite detention of Americans. Will you?
The National Defense Authorization Bill (NDAA) – which includes provisions authorizing indefinite detention of Americans without charge or trial – has been received by the White House. President Obama had promised to veto the bill if it contained these provisions, but now his advisers are encouraging him to sign it. SIGN THE PETITION at aclu dotorgslash fixndaa

@strawman007 we don't seem that free under capitalism either.
Anyway, trolly is right in that socialism isn't anti-freedom. The one honest to goodness socialist we have in Congress is one of the very few to vote against this. Though no system of government is immune from this kind of authoritarian creep. Ultimately it depends on what the people in gov and in general do, not what labels they put on themselves.

Dude you have me puzzled now. On one hand you are all for Socialism , and then on the other hand you are concerned with freedom. Whats up?! Either be a scumbag or be a good guy, this gray area is crap.
Forget about the "terrorists", they are us. One attack in NYC and we took away our rights and destroyed our economy with monsterous debt. Corporate dictatorship is with us. America is insane.

@strawman007 Socialism and Freedom aren't mutually exclusive, in fact they work very well together. Look at most of Europe.
